M A K E U P   A R T I S T R Y

I have been a Texan in the DFW area for over 30 years, with a 3 1/2 year vacation in San Diego. After receiving a BS in Biology/Chemistry from the University of North Texas, there were 9 years of medical/scientific sales and consulting. Wanting a change, I had an opportunity to be on a film set while obtaining an aestheticians license.  A hidden, natural talent was exposed, and the passion exploded!  My skills and experience grew quickly, and Chelsea Lee Makeup Artistry was born. I was able to add beauty and special effects makeup to feature and short films, music videos, TV shows and pilots, commercials, webisodes, and photography. I have had the pleasure to do makeup for many different types of media including film (16mm and 35mm) and HD (including the first beta version of RED, RED RAVEN, and RED ONE, RED EPIC, etc.).

In 2014, I was the key makeup artist for the feature film OCCUPY, TEXAS directed by Jeff Barry and staring Janine Turner, Peri Gilpin, and Lorelei Linklater. In 2013, I had so much fun as the key makeup artist for MISSION AIR, directed by Mike Norris and starting GiGi Rice, Robert Rodriguez, Jamie Kennedy, and Tom Arnold. In 2011, I was the key makeup artist for the HGTV show, "Donna Decorates Dallas" and was elected as a PSA Chair Board Member for Women In Film Dallas.

As the key makeup artist for Tom Huckabee's delightful human comedy, CARRIED AWAY and Frank Mosley's HOLD, I was extremely happy to see both of these films in the 2010 Dallas International Film Festival. In fact, I had the honor of being the celebrity makeup artist for the AFI/Dallas International Film Festival from 2007 - 2013 as well as the Lone Star International Film Festival in 2007.  I have and will continue to support the Texas film community and help our future film students and newcomers with short and feature films. To give back to my community, I have also volunteered at Nexus Recovery Center for Women, The American Cancer Society, and Heartland Home Health and Hospice.
